On Friday December 1st, the Novice A team had the chance to learn new skills at the Barn under Maxim Ivanov from the Pittsburgh Penquins. What an amazing experience for all the players.

Saturday Dec 2nd, we had our second meeting against Kingston AE on home ice again. With a strong defence in the first period and a steady game in the second period, the offense took over in the third period. The boys finished with a 3-3 tie, and goals from Kadykalo, Simpson and Thomas.

Sunday Dec 3rd, the team travelled to Quinte for a rematch. The boys played well and came home with another tie, 2-2. Goals from Creighton and Kadykalo.

On Saturday November 25, the Novice A Toros travelled to Peterborough for our third meeting of the year with the Peterborough A team.  Coming into this game, the series was tied 1-1. It was a display of beautiful passing, intimidating offense and relentless defense. With a strong showing from Williamson between the pipes, the boys finished with a win, 8-0.  Goals from McNeill, Van Dam, Lewis, Creighton, Elson and a hat trick from Simpson! The team belt for hardest working player was given to the ALL the boys for one of our strongest games of the year!

On November 17, the Novice A team headed to Guelph for our third tournament of the season. Unfortunately the team didn't have the weekend that they were hoping for but they had a lot of fun.
We lost our first game 1-0 to the team that beat us 6-1 in the last tournament. Then we played a tri-county team that was 18-0 in their regular season and the boys held them 0-0 until mid-way thru the 2nd period.
The boys played extremely hard and should be proud.
It was also our first overnight tournament as a team and the boys took full advantage of the pool. Lots of new memories were made and friendships made stronger.
