End of a Hard Fought Year
The Toros Novice A team continued their fight through the playoffs vs Peterborough.
Sat March 10, the boys fought hard but couldn't catch a break vs the Peterborough A team. With double the amount of shots on net than the other team, the puck just didn't find a way into the mesh. Final score was 1-0 Peterborough.
Sun March 11 the Novice A needed a win vs Peterborough AE to continue their season. The boys went down early 2-0 but fought back to tie it up 2-2. Second period started fresh and the boys kept the offense pushing. Going late into the 3rd period we were down 2 goals. With a penalty to Ptbo and pulling our goalie, the boys fought hard but were only able to score 1 goal. Final score was 4-3 with goals from B. Van Dam (2) and D. MacNeill.
A disappointing end to a great season. With new friendships formed, the boys showed what they were made of......determination, perseverance, a willingness to learn and a love of the game. Good luck in tryouts!
