The Minor Atom AA Toros took on the Ajax Knights in the second round of playoffs.

Playing on home ice for game 1, the game was tight from the start. With chances both ways and great goaltending for both teams, the game was 0-0 at the end of regulation. In overtime, the score remained 0-0 until a blue line shot from Dwyer gave the Toros the 1-0 win.

Game 2 saw the boys head to Ajax. Again the game was tight with the majority of the game being scoreless. A late tip in goal by DeBoo with seconds left in the 3rd gave the boys the go ahead goal and the 1-0 win.

It's rare for 17 individuals to come together to form a cohesive group. But at just nine years old, a team of AA hockey players from Clarington have done just that.

The Clarington Toros Minor Atom AA team is proving that with hard work, dedication, and teamwork, great things are possible.

In a success-filled year, the Toros have earned four gold medal finishes at tournaments this season.

With strong goaltending, solid defence and fire power offence on all lines, the Toros are proving a team to be reckoned with.

The boys have battled hard this season, taking gold at the Kawartha Lakes AA Tournament, Oshawa Cup Tournament, Guelph Powerplay Tournament and the Glenn Bellerby Memorial Tournament in Barrie.
