The Minor Atom AA Toros wrapped up a jam-packed schedule this weekend.

Friday night, the boys traveled to Uxbridge to take on the North Durham Warriors. In a fast paced game, the Toros battled hard to come back from a 2-0 deficit, to take the win 3-2!

On Saturday, the team took a trip to Peterborough to play the Pete's. The Toros controlled the game, seeing lots of offense, and taking the game 8-3.

On Sunday, the Toros were at home for a game against the Whitby Wildcats. The Wildcats took an early lead, and though the boys battled back to tie the game, a late goal by Whitby ended in a 4-3 loss for the Toros.

With only two regular season games scheduled this week, the Toros were rested and prepared for a strong showing.

On Thursday night, the boys travelled to Cobourg to take on the Northumberland Nighthawks. The game was close in the first period, with chances both ways. Goals by Griffin and Boyes  late in the first ended the period 2-0 Toros.

The second period was full of back and forth action.  Northumberland battled hard, scoring 3, but goals by Baker, Best, and Holla held the Toros ahead 5-3 at the end of the period.

The third saw the Toros lead shrink to 5-4, but the boys battled back with a goal by DeBoo and an empty net goal by Holla to take the game 7-4 Toros.

On Saturday, the Minor Atom AA Toros took on the Northumberland Nighthawks. The Toros came out strong, dominating the game in the Northumberland end. Goals by Holla, Kadykalo, Holla and Deboo, and strong defence ended in a 4-1 win for the Toros.

Sunday afternoon, the boys took on the Oshawa Generals. In another strong showing, the Toros controlled the game from the start, with good team play and fast feet. Goals by Griffin, Boyes, Kadykalo, two back to back goals by Best, Holla and Griffin ended the game with a 7-0 win and a shutout for goalie Thomas.

Good weekend, Toros!

The Minor Atom Toros travelled to Guelph this weekend for the Guelph Powerplay Tournament.

In the first of 6 action-packed games the Toros took on the home town Guelph Gryphons. The Toros battled hard and took the win 7-2. Player of the game awarded to: Dwyer

Next up, the Toros matched up with the Caledon Hawks. In a back-and-forth game, the Toros dug deep, winning 5-3.Player of the game awarded to: Holla
