The stands were packed for a well-fought Clarington Toros victory at Scugog Arena this Wednesday. The Atom AE Toros had recently hit a bump in their road to the OMHA's, losing 6-3 against the Port Perry Predators after winning their previous 5 playoff games in decisive fashion. The team needed a big win, and knew it was going to take a team effort to get it. Some of the players were nervous, but most seemed reasonably assured that they were ready to move on from this series.

The Clarington Toros Atom AE squad continued their hard work and solid play this weekend, playing a tough away game in Peterborough, and an even tougher home game against a quick Northumberland team. It was time for the Toros to show they could hang with big boys in the Lakeshore division, and, as always, they made it quite entertaining! A few big goals and some quality play by the goaltenders came to the forefront in these games, proving that dedication and hard work are paying off for the athletes.

It was a roller coaster weekend with the Clarington Toros Atom AE squad travelling to Lake Placid for the CHE Hockey American Cup Tournament. The Toros had worked hard in practice, knowing this wasn't going to be an easy tournament, and prepared themselves to play on a bigger Olympic-sized ice. They focused well and made sure they kept the visits to the hotel pool to a minimum.

The Clarington Atom AE Toros got their motors running early and often in a tilt of titanic proportion versus Peterborough Maroon on Tuesday night. Following a win against Uxbridge on the weekend, the seasoned Toros stepped on home ice with a spring in their stride. They were going to need it, going up against an undefeated Peterborough Maroon team.

The Clarington Toros Atom AE really showed well and got the
crowd moving this weekend with a convincing victory on home ice against the
Belleville Bulls and an electrifying 4-4 tie in a night game against the
Predators of Port Perry.
The first game was a home-town season opener against the
Bulls. Right out of the gate, the Toros once again showed why they should be a
major contender this year.
