Player bonding + parent bonding + go-karting = 147% fun
The hope of an out-of-town tournament is always galvanizing our team for the remainder of the season and mission accomplished. Mini-sticks, pool time, PRIME hunting, RPM racing, and playing some difficult hockey ALL contributed to our fellowship. 2 for 2 on making it to the tournament finals so far - with all eyes on the prize in April. Every single player is learning how to embrace the vulnerability the coaches are asking them for. I look forward to seeing what our next chapter unfolds. See everyone at the Jungle (aka Rickard Pad B) real soon.

Adversity lesson 101 - The U13AA team faced a large challenge this weekend and stepped up admirably culminating in a tough 3-on-3 OT loss to Stouffville in the final. Oxygen tanks were certainly needed for the coaches and parents as the players battled hard to force overtime with sniper Tower finding twine with the tendy on the bench for the extra attacker. Forced to play 4 games in 2 days as Windsor recovers, Nico held the fort for us until the team got their legs under them. Proud of everyone's effort, medals and trophies collect dust - memories are what remain. Who's got my back?

She died in the spring of 2013 from a condition known as second impact syndrome (swelling of the brain caused by a subsequent injury before a previous injury healed). Rowan is believed to have experienced three concussions over six days while playing rugby. She had a concussion, but didn't know her brain needed time to heal. Neither did her parents, teachers, or coaches.
