Friday the 13th
brought good luck and excellent hockey for the Minor Atom A team who opened the
Preston International tournament in Cambridge with two shutouts in a row! The
team defeated Oshawa and West Hill to finish day one in first place.

Clarington Toros
Minor Atom A team won their first two games at Oshawa Hockeyfest against
Toronto Royals and Markham Waxers to secure their spot in Sunday’s Semi Finals
at Campus Ice Centre.
Taking on the
Waterloo Wolves in the Semi Finals, Toros came from behind in the 3-1 win to
move on to the Championship Game.
The team played a
strong game, but fell to Nepean Raiders in the finals. Team, coaches and
parents alike are all very proud of this strong showing in the tournament and
all season long!

Minor Atom A Toros
Hold Clean-Up Event
On Sunday,
November 20, 2016, the Clarington Toros Minor Atom A team held a clean-up day.
To give back to their community and show pride for their home ice, the team
spent some time picking up garbage in the green spaces around Garnet B Rickard
Complex. The Municipality of Clarington supplied garbage bags and gloves for
the event. The weather conditions were cold and windy but the boys got the work
done and enjoyed some hot chocolate afterward.
