Toros Defeat NightHawks in Exhibition Games
What a fantastic start to the season for the MD7 WHITE. The team played a home and home exhibition game recently with the Toros pulling away with 2 victories.
Game 1 was a back and forth game with the Toros coming back with late goal to take the victory 7-6 at the Garnet B Rickard. It was a slow start and Northumberland took an early lead, but the boys kept battling and starting winning the little battles. The game momentum shifted back and forth numerous times. Both Cannon and Thomas were strong between the pipes making some very key saves when needed.
The 2nd game was a little different as the Toros came out flying. Some great team play, skating and moving the puck around lead to some quick goals by the Toros and they never looked back. Again both goalies stood tall keeping the Nighthawks of the board and allowing the Toros to get a solid lead.
The boys are back in action September 20th for their last exhibition game vs OSHAWA.
