MD7 White, 2015-2016 (Clarington Minor Hockey Association)

The boys started the new year out in Newmarket at the Cujo Invitational. They played hard and had fun, playing against teams that they usually wouldn't get a chance to play. Our first regular season game was at Darlington arena against our brother Toros team. Our boys held strong and put up a strong battle, but the Blue team took the lead and brought home the win! January continued to be a battle for our boys with a combination of wins, losses and a tie. They continue to skate hard, play hard and HAVE FUN!!!! This past month has been a busy one! Thank you to all of the players that volunteered their time to attend the goalie clinics! Great job to everyone with our final meat fundraiser! And a HUGE thank you to Sikma and Mundy from CLARINGTON BLUE for organizing a fun night bringing the parents of our MD7 TOROS together for some hockey and laughs!

  On November 14th, we traveled to Trenton to face the Quinte West Hawks. We celebrated a win of 12-2  with some great food, some intense road hockey and laughs by the bonfire. Thank you to Dennis and Brenda for hosting this fun team building night.   

October 29th, we headed to Campus arena to take on the Oshawa Generals White. The Gens scored right away leaving our boys to fight for the win. They played hard and ended up taking the lead with a final score of 6-1! They welcomed the Uxbridge Stars on November 7th. This game was a nailbiter! MD7 White took a 2-0 lead after the first, however, the Stars were quick to tie it up early in the 2nd. Final score 4-3 Toros!!!! The boys have continued this first part of the season STRONG! We took on the Pickering Panthers on October 17th and came up short with a 5-4 loss. The boys stayed positive and worked hard bringing home a 2nd win of the season with a score of 6-4 on October 20th against Peterborough Petes. Tonight was back and forth throughout the duration of the game. Our boys tied it up with 30 seconds to go, with a final score of 6-6. The passing and teamwork is amazing to watch!
