This past month has been a busy one! Thank you to all of the players that volunteered their time to attend the goalie clinics! Great job to everyone with our final meat fundraiser! And a HUGE thank you to Sikma and Mundy from CLARINGTON BLUE for organizing a fun night bringing the parents of our MD7 TOROS together for some hockey and laughs!
December 6th was a fun filled night as both Clarington MD7 teams came together for their first game against each other. The boys from both teams all did a great job playing as a team. White took the lead with a final score of 8-1. Thank you again to Clarington BLUE for getting all of the parents together for a fun game of hockey and a night out to celebrate all of our boys representing the TOROS!
We traveled to Whitby on December 8th for an intense game. The boys held strong and pushed through a tough game taking the win with a final score of 4-3! Great job staying positive boys.
Finally, as Santa skated in the rink next to us, we hosted Kingston in an afternoon game. It was a close game during the first 2 periods, however, our boys brought home the win after the 3rd with a final score of 5-2.
We are looking forward to our sponsor Laura Sciore from the Cooperators group joining us on Wednesday for our practice and have added an additional practice on Friday the 18th at Rickard Arena to prepare for our final game in the preliminary round.
It's been a great start to the season. We start out fresh in the new year as we enter the second half of our regular season games, so we want to keep our boys positive and having fun out there.
We are in the works of booking a Christmas get together the week before Christmas. An email will be coming out once we receive confirmation of a date. Our final dryland practice will be this Tuesday and will continue again in the new year.
