Bottle drive in support of the Eades Family
I received an email from the league today. The Eades have two sons playing for the Toros and some people are putting a bottle drive together to try and raise money for the family as the boys' father has been diagnosed with Cancer. Please read the message here for further details.
Hello everyone!
In our continuing efforts to support the Eades family we have decided to do a collection...with a twist. Next Saturday(Sept 26th), we have arranged for a Beer truck to be parked at South Courtice Arena from 9am-3pm. We ask that anyone wishing to donate bottles or make a monetary donation to come see us at South Courtice.
Please spread the word to all your friends, family and neighbours or even collect the empties from them yourselves and bring to SCAon Saturday. If you need help in collecting any bottles let me know, I will clear out my van and come pick them up for you.
I also ask that you help spread the word through the use of social media. Ask your kids if you need help with this, they know how it works!
All proceeds will be going towards the Eades family, in particular the boys. Both boys are valuable members the Minor Midget AA and the Bantam AE teams. Being part of these teams this year, through this very difficult time, has meant the world to both Nolan and Graydon. I have seen for myself how much it means to Mike and the boys to just sit together and talk about the team, the games and even practices.
Every little bit we do individually and collectively is having a great impact on this family and is appreciated so much. I can speak for Tina and say a huge THANK YOU!
Thank you again,
Dawn Bright
