On December 3, the U13BB Toros Team stepped up to support a family in need for the holidays.
Each member was tasked to come up with a way to earn and donate $20 of their own money towards sponsoring the family.
Every player took this task to heart, donating $20 and some even more than that!
In addition, our wonderful families stepped up and added to the donation.
Once collected the team was tasked with taking the wishlist of the family and checking as many items of the list as possible. Thank you to all of the donations, we crossed every item off this family of 5's list!
These boys took their shopping very seriously, meticulously counting out their allotted funds and ensuring they could make each person within the family's Christmas wishes come true.
But it didn't end there, the team then took to wrapping every gift and finishing up the evening with caroling and collecting food and donations to support our local foodbanks.
As a parent and member of the staff, I couldn't be more proud of these young men.
Way to go U13BB, making one family's wishes come true and supporting those in need in our own community over the holidays.
