Season Opener!
We had a strong start to the season tonight with a big come from behind win against Northumberland.

The game started with an exchange of opportunities and strong defensive play at both ends. Northumberland managed to score two early goals on great offensive shots but the Toros aren't exactly the type who give up easily.

MacNevin started things off in the dying seconds of the first period with a beauty rebound goal assisted by Gareau and VanReenen. This lit a spark and although the second period didn't result in any scoring, it did include some fantastic offensive pushes, defensive efforts and solid goaltending by McBride-Hyde on (ahem) some penalty kills.

Perseverance was the theme for the third period with Geniole digging at the net and potting a dirty 'ol rebound off of Twinner's shot. Less than two minutes later MacNevin launched a pin point stretch pass to Foreman who split the Defense and drilled in a breakaway shot. Geniole stepped up for his second of the game letting go a bullet top corner. Then the 'golden boys' decided to get in on the action too and just over a minute later Dwyer potted our fifth unanswered goal assisted by both Snoxall-Scott and Best.

A great overall performance by everyone for our first game of the regular season and we are proud of the never quit attitude showed by the boys tonight which allowed us to grab this win! See everyone back at the rink tomorrow!
