Vote for us in the Ford Drills and Skills Competition
Submitted By Shona Smith on Saturday, February 2, 2019

In the spirit of giving back to our community our Clarington Toros, Novice A have collected food alongside 2 teams in our division, Oshawa and Peterborough, in support of local food banks over Thanksgiving. The support and feedback was overwhelming and many boxes of food were donated collectively. Over Christmas the team collected toys for the DRPS Christmas Toy Drive and were happy to donate and deliver a giant box of toys to a worthy cause. Our last endeavor was to raise money for a local charity organization “Their Opportunity”. The team hosted a Celebrity Server evening at Boston Pizza. All proceeds from the night and from a raffle were donated to this cause as it supports what all of the players love, sports!! Their Opportunity’s mission is to give a chance for children to access sports and recreation programs who may not otherwise be able to. The players, coaching staff and families together have all been so supportive with all of our community initiatives we would like to reward their hard work and encourage further community spirit with a chance to participate in the Ford Drills and Skills Competition.

Thanks to everyone for their continued support!
