TOROS BRING HOME BRONZE!
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - The Clarington Toros Minor Atom A hockey team went the distance and a little beyond at the International CAN/AM hockey tournament in Lake Placid this past weekend.

Playing games against a Major Atom AA team from Ajax and two split Major/Minor Atom teams from Massena and Boston, the Toros brought home the Bronze defeating Boston with a 5-2 win! Congrats to the boys as it was an exciting tournament for both fans, coaches and players.

The boys presented each US team they played with Canadian pins after the game to show their sportsmanship.

In the skills competition O.Legge was named top goalie with B.Boyle finishing second. Our relay race team made up of D.Saxena and B.MacNevin came second. B.Rytwinski was the finalist in the shootout competition. Well done by all the participants.

On the boys down time they had the opportunity to visit the Olympic training site where they watched Team Canada's bobsled team qualify for the upcoming Olympics. Some toured the Winter Olympic museum while others skied.

All in all it was a memorable trip for the boys who came together just in time to start their playoffs.

GO TOROS GO!
