2017-2018 Bantam A - Bantam A Team's 'Season of Giving' a Huge Success

The Bantam A team surpassed all their goals during this year's Skate-a-Thon!  The team pledged to skate continuously for an hour in order to raise money to purchase toys and gifts to donate to the Durham Regional Police Department's Toy Drive.  

The team was hoping to raise a minimum of $500, and blew that goal out of the water by bringing in a whopping $1120!  The boys then divided into 5 groups and shopped til they dropped to provide toys and gifts for children aged 0-14!!

As well as raising money, the team was committed to helping out the community in other ways!  The boys were asked to bring in one non-perishable food item to donate to the DRPS Food Bank, and again, the boys and their families went above and beyond!  Twelve bags and boxes of food were collected and donated!

The team wasn't done yet!  This year the guys decided to add a new group to our Season of Giving - Seniors!
The Toros collected items to donate to the Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Palliative Unit, to help bring a smile to patients who are permanent residents of the Continuing Care program!  Three huge sack filled with gifts were delivered to the hospital, just in time to help Santa bring a smile to their faces!
