What an incredible weekend for the U14AA Toros! The team travelled to the South Simcoe Storm Tournament and came home as TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS!
The Toros had a strong showing in round-robin play, finishing with an impressive 3–1 record to secure second place and a spot in Sunday morning’s semifinal against the host team. The Toros were dominant from start to finish, earning a convincing 3–0 shutout victory and punching their ticket to the championship game.
In the finals, the Toros faced a tough Soo Jr Greyhounds squad in an intense, hard-fought battle. With both teams leaving it all on the ice, the Toros found another gear in the third period, pulling ahead and showing tremendous grit to hang on for a thrilling 2–1 victory!
An outstanding team effort, relentless determination, and clutch performances led the Toros to the championship banner. Congratulations to the players and coaches on an amazing tournament win!
The momentum continues as the team kicks off Round 1 of the playoffs on February 11th—let’s go Toros!
