Submitted By Dwayne McGlynn on Sun 04 17, 22
The U15 AA Toros are champions at the Mary Parkinson Memorial Tournament hosted by the Richmond Hill Stars on April 8-10, 2022.

The team finished second in the round robin portion of the tournament and went on to an exciting semi-final game on Sunday. Going down by two goals early to the TNT Tornados, the team persevered and came out with a 4-3 win.

In the gold medal game, Toros scored first. Captain Caeden Allenby #25, put the team up by one at 5:12 in the first period. Quinte West Golden Hawks tied the game at 1 and then scored a go-ahead goal with 5 minutes left in the third period.

In what can only be described as a thrilling finish, Toros pulled their goalie and put the pressure on in the final minute. The equalizer came with 4.6 seconds on the clock, courtesy of #7 defenceman Nathan Langlois with an assist from #88 Tyler Oliver.

Toros went on to earn the gold medal in overtime with a beautiful goal by #97 Hudson Maro. The crowd went wild!
