SScary Skate in association with the CMHA & CZHA have now opened up registration for Skating / Skill Development  (20) Limited available spots for each age group 


The CMHA & CZHA will be providing weekly development sessions on a first come first served basis.  There will be limited spots (20) available in each age group.  The development is based on $180.00 per skater for 9 weeks or $160.00 for 8 weeks.  Weekly skills sessions will cover technical power skating, quick hands, skill development and small area development with pucks. The Players will cycle through various elements of on ice skill development weekly in a smaller group setting.  This is not mandatory.

The technical power skating and skill development will be with Hockey Canada Certified Power Skating and Skills coach Ryan Martindale from Scary Skate.  Ryan was drafted 2nd Round 26th overall by the Ottawa 67’s in the 2007 Ontario Hockey League Draft. He achieved an unbelievable 224 career OHL points. In 2007/2008 he won the U-17 World Champion playing with Team Ontario. He was drafted 3rd Round, 61st overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2010 National Hockey League Draft. Ryan Played 7 years Professionally in both North America and Europe. He was on the 2014/2015 Team Canada Spengler Cup. 

Ryan along with senior staff from Scary Skate will be the rotating on ice instructors for the development sessions

October 23rd & 30th @ S.Courtice (A) 5:30 pm, November 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, December 4th, 11th, 18th @ Rickard (B) 4:50 pm

Peewee AA-AAA 20 (skaters) $180.00 per skater, 9 sessions
October 23rd & 30th @ S.Courtice (A) 6:40 pm, November 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, December 4th, 11th, 18th @ Rickard (B) 6:00 pm

Bantam A-AE 20 (skaters) $160.00 per skater, 8 sessions
October 25th @ S.Courtice (B) 8:40 am, November 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, December 4th, 11th, 18th @ Rickard (B) 7:10 pm 

Bantam AA-AAA 20 (skaters) $160.00 per skater, 8 sessions

Midget A-AE 20 (skaters) $160.00 per skater, 8 sessions
