Minor Bantam A Earn Silver Medal
On the weekend of Sept 13-15 the Minor Bantam A Toros travel to Richmond Hill to compete in the Mary Parkinson Memorial Tournament.

The boys got off to a slow start in the first game against Caledon; although they came back to win 4-3.

The next game was a tough test; Woodstock dominated the play while the Toros struggled to get out their end, Goalie Sean Beaton stood on his head and kept the Toros in the game- eventually losing a tight game.

A rocky 3rd game with a few ups and down, yet our boys pulled off a 8-4 win over Brampton 45’s.

Toros came out and dominated Innisfil but ended with a 2-2 tie. The tie knocked out Innisfil and helped us move onto Sunday.

Sunday was amazing day for the Toros with a tough game at the end of it. It started with Halton Hills early in the morning, with a 2-0 lead with 3 minutes left. Halton didn’t give up and tied it 2-2, but we eventually won in OT with a beauty goal by Austin Fata. This goal led the Toros to face Woodstock in the semi finals. The Toros could of said “this team dominated us in round robin we have no chance” but not this Toros team. They put our slogan to work and “Believed in the Process” -understanding that if we played a great game we can beat anybody … Everybody bought in and played a role in this victory for the Toros leading our path to a 6pm final vs Barrie. The Toros dominated Barrie but Barrie goalie stole them the game it was 3-1 when the Toros pulled the goalie and eventually lost 5-1.

What a weekend of hockey and team bonding for this team with 7 games and even through we lost in the championship game, the coaching staff is so proud of how well we played and with our final result of 2nd out of 15thteams.
