PEEWEE AA TOROS ARE GUELPH POWER PLAY TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS!!
Congratulations to the Peewee AA Toros team for winning the Guelph Power Play Tournament this past weekend!!
The Toros finished the round robin with 3 wins and a tie, defeating Vaughn Rangers 1-0, Copper Cliff Reds 6-1, Windsor Jr Spitfires 4-0 and tying Kent Cobras 2-2.
In the semi-finals, the Toros defeated unbeaten Waterloo Wolves 3-1, setting up a final against the unbeaten Guelph Gryphons.
In the final against the hometown Guelph team, the Toros found themselves down 2-0 after the first period. However, as they have done all season long, the Toros battled back to tie the score 2-2, and force overtime.
In the 3 on 3 overtime, the Toros were able to complete the comeback, scoring two minutes in to win 3-2!!
Congratulations to the players and coaches on winning their 2nd tournament of the year!!
