Toros Start Regular Season with Unbeaten Streak
The Clarington Toros Minor Bantam 'A' team has started the 2018-19 season with a bang, going 5-0-1 in the first 6 games of the season; good enough for top spot in the Lakeshore division. The athletes have fought through some adversity this season, dealing with injuries, suspensions, and some very talented teams. However, with hard work, some newly-developed camaraderie, and some excellent goaltending, the Toros seem like the team to beat this upcoming season.

The Toros began the season with a dominating 7-1 victory against the Oshawa Minor Generals. The speedy North Durham Warriors were next, and surprised the Toros in the first two periods. In the third period, the Toros conditioning paid off in the form of a few beautiful goals, resulting in a 4-2 victory for the Toros.

A few days later, the Toros faced their first test of adversity in a game against the tough, hard-hitting Pickering Panthers. The Toros, plagued by injuries and a suspension in the North Durham game, were down to 11 players. Tired, ravaged, and seemingly broken as a team, the athletes came together in the third period once again. With a late shot that went in off the post, the battered Toros made it out with a narrow 3-2 victory, and a newly-found sense of teamwork that wasn't there before.

After a 2-2 tie against the hungry Northumberland Nighthawks, the Whitby Wildcats White team was primed to hand the Toros their first loss of the season. After another Toros suspension and some heavy hits from both teams, the Toros were able to hold on for a 4-2 victory, sending the Wildcats home with a defeat. Following this game and a narrow 3-2 victory against Kingston, the Toros look forward to face the talented Quinte West Hawks in what should prove to be their toughest challenge yet. Win or loss, these Toros are showing that hard work can beat any team any day. Keep it up, Toros! Give it all you've got!
