The Atom AA Clarington Toros won their third tournament this past weekend in Peterborough.
In five tournaments this year the team has steadily improved. After not making it out of a tough group in Niagara the team rebounded to take Silver in Whitby in October. This was followed by an overtime win in Pittsburgh to capture gold, followed by a win in December in Oshawa. In their fifth and final tournament, the Peterborough Lift-Lock Tournament, they won 2-1 in the finals after going undefeated to capture the gold medal.
In addition to their great tournament performance they finished the regular season in second place and head into the playoffs this weekend hoping to maintain the form they have shown over the regular season and throughout their tournament play.
Congratulations to all of the players and staff who have come together to create such an excellent hardworking team. And most importantly thank you to all of our family and friends who show up at games that are an hour away and sometimes 6 hours away. Your support has been tremendous.
