Toros victorious in Peterborough Kawartha Lakes AA Tournament
The Minor Atom AA Toros took to the ice this weekend in six action packed games at the Peterborough Kawartha Lakes AA Tournament.
The boys started with a 4-1 win over Kitchener, followed by ties with London (1-1) and Halton Hills (2-2) to close out the round robin.
A 5-3 win over Northumberland had the Toros heading to the semi-finals, where they again came out on top, winning the contest 5-1 against Kitchener.
The championship game saw a rematch of last seasons Lakeshore finals as the boys took on the Peterborough Pete's. The Toros were flying from the start, taking and holding a lead for the games entirety, and winning 4-1.
Dedication and teamwork paid off as the boys walked away gold medal champions. What a great start to the season boys!
