Summer Shot Challenge
Hi Everyone! 

I hope you are all enjoying your summer so far.  We are starting to get the website up and going for out team so we can keep you up to date so far on what is happening this year.  

As you all know the coaching staff have requested that the kids get out and train this summer to be ready for our season next year.  In addition to the running and strength training the boys were asked to work on their wrist, backhand, snap shots etc.  I will summarize the shot challenge here so you can have it on hand in case the sheets were misplaced.




Week 1 Wrist Shots 250 to lower corners & 250 to upper corners

Week 2  Backhand Shots 250 to lower corners & 250 to upper corners

Week 3 Snap Shots 250 to lower corners & 250 to upper corners

Week 4 Wrist Shots Back foot elevated on bucket or bench equal to knee
Balance on 1 foot height. 250 to lower corners & 250 to upper corners

Week 5 Snap shot & 50 per day/250 Week all corners
Backhand shots

Week 6 Drag & Shoot 250 to lower corners & 250 to upper corners

Week 7 Slap Shots 250 to lower corners & 250 to upper corners

Week 8 Stickhandle & 250 to lower corners & 250 to upper corners
Quick Release

Week 9 Players' Choice Alternate shots and alternate targets

Week 10 Players' Choice Alternate shots and alternate targets

Bonus: One - timer This drill can be performed as an option in Week 9 or  if player wishes to continue past 10 weeks.  Drill can  be performed with a partner or using a hockey or  tennis ball passing off the wall.
