Congratulations to the Macmillan Orchards Bantam A Toros - 2016 Motown Cup Champions!



The 2002 A Clarington Toros rolled into Detroit this weekend on a wave of positive energy. After attending a Detroit Red Wings game Thursday night, the boys took to the ice at the Joe Louis Arena to begin their 4 game journey to the Cup.  Sunday morning the boys faced off in the finals against a talented U14 AA hockey team from South Bend, Indiana.  After 3 periods and thrilling OT period the score was still knotted at 2-2.  The Championship was won in a shootout.  Sniper Parnell scored the winner while goalie Powers kept all three attempts out of the net.  Congratulations to tournament MVP James Powers.

The coaching staff is very proud of the team.  The boys have worked diligently for the 5 months and have really come together.  Every player had a positive and significant impact on the team.  Go Toros Go!
