Toros Defeat NightHawks 4-2
Toros Vs Nighthawks Thurs Sept 1 2016
The Toros had another warm up exhibition match Thursday as they brought a 2/2 exhibition record into play against The NightHawks.
1st Both teams had great scoring chances but it was the toros who struck first, C.Cole would bang home a rebound in front to make it 1/0 minutes after that the lead would be extended to 2 as L. Jackman's shot was neatly deflected by C. Jun over the right shoulder of Ford. Shortly before the end of the period a NightHawks powerplay clicks on a shot from the point by Giroux that went top shelf over O. McColm, Toros still lead 2/1 after 1 period.
2nd Nighthawks had a glorious opportunity with a powerplay to tie the game but C. Ryan would have none of that with a beauty shorthanded goal. The NightHawks would not go away as Devolin would make this game 3/2. O. Mccolm Came up with some huge saves in front of the Night which set the stage for the Insurance marker with a delayed penalty coming up for a hit from behind on A. Fata.C. Cole walked out and tucked in his 2nd of the game to make it 4/2
3rd Both teams had some great oportunites but there would be no more scoring as O.Mccolm refused to allow another goal, Toros Win 4/2. Toros play one more exhibition game tuesday night against Peterborough 6pm @ Rickard just before the real fun begins with the First tourney of the year in Ajax Next Week. By: Mike Jackman
