Toros Fall 3-1 in Exhibition vs Oshawa
The Atom AA Toros squared off against the Oshawa Minor Generals last night, this is the 3rd time these 2 Teams have played each other. Game 1 Went to the Toros with a 4-1 win, Game 2 was a high scoring affair favoring Oshawa 6-5.
1st Period The Generals opened up the scoring on a shot by Santos that looked like B. Foreman had at first but it just squeezed in to give the Generals The lead. Toros had a Power play and numerous scoring chances but could not solve goaltender Verbaan.
2nd Period To start the 2nd Toros had 2 glorious opportunities but Raanta who came in briefly also shut the door. With the Generals enjoying a Powerplay Haslam from in front of the net put home a loose puck and Toros Trailed 2-0 after two periods.
3rd Period After buzzing around all game long the Toros were rewarded as L. Jackman dug at a loose puck in front, finally beating Verbaan. Momentum is a crazy thing though just when you think you have it - its GONE in a heartbeat which is what happened here as the Generals answered right back with a goal by Closs to take a 3-1 lead and thats how it ended up.
