2017-2018 Minor Bantam AA - Minor Bantam AA Spread Christmas Cheer!
Submitted By Ruth Tonks on Monday, January 01, 2018
The Clarington Toros Minor Bantam AA's came together as a team off of the ice this Christmas season to help support our local community.  The boys worked together to collect non parishable food items and gifts for those in need throughout Durham Region. Constable Darryl Rice of the DRPS was on hand to meet the boys at Garnet B. Rickard Arena to load up his cruiser and take the items to be distributed in conjunction with community partners such as Simcoe Hall Settlement House and the Salvation Army.

This year marked the 29th Anniversarty of the DRPS Annual Food and Toy drive. Durham police are trying to make sure every child has a present under the tree and something to eat on Christmas morning.  Each year toys and gift cards are collected for every age from newborn up to kids as old as 16 and 17.

Our coaching staff and parents are extremely proud of the boys for their enthusiastic participation in the collection of goods.  Thanks to all those who helped support our boys and their efforts to make this drive a great success!!
